After a months of careful planning, the phenomenal band Queenie returns to Prague's O2 arena with the unique project QUEEN RELIVED Philharmonic, promising an unforgettable and authentic experience. This time, they will be joined by the prestigious Janáčkova filharmonie Ostrava, blending rock rhythms with the grandeur of classical music.
This grand concert, marking the sixth QUEEN RELIVED performance at the O2 arena, will bring a new dimension to the rock classics of the legendary Queen. Since their inception 18 years ago, Queenie has become synonymous with the precise recreation of Freddie Mercury's music and his band. They have performed over 1,400 concerts in 25 countries, appeared at Queen Elizabeth II's official birthday celebration, and Michael Kluch was nominated for the Thalia Award for his role in the musical "Freddie."
As a special announcement, the band revealed that it will be using the innovative L-ISA sound technology at its concerts, offering an exceptionally realistic musical experience. Thanks to this technology, sound will be evenly distributed throughout the entire O2 arena, ensuring that every audience member—whether seated in the front row or on the fourth level—enjoys perfectly clear, balanced, and spatially defined audio. This technology marks a revolution in concert sound systems and promises a leap in quality comparable to the historic shift from mono to stereo.
"When we talk about an orchestra, we don't just mean a few strings and flutes. We're talking about a full-fledged symphonic orchestra consisting of dozens of musicians, each a master of their craft. Under the direction of experienced conductor Stanislav Vavřínek, the Janáček Philharmonic Ostrava will bring new layers and depth to the performance. Arranger Jan Lstibůrek, working in tandem with the band, has created new orchestral arrangements that preserve the spirit of the original songs while elevating them to new artistic heights.
From the opening notes of "Bohemian Rhapsody" resonating through the O2 arena accompanied by dozens of strings and winds, to "We Will Rock You," immersing the audience with a fascinating blend of drums alongside the deep tones of bassoons and double basses, the choreography and light show have once again been designed to harmonize with the emotions and dynamics of the music.
