He can be man and woman, child and adult.
The multi-talented French performer Jonathan Capdevielle spent his adolescence learning to imitate pop icons and to sing their most famous hits from the 1980s, especially those by Madonna.
Adishatz / Adieu is Capdevielle’s self-portrait, a kind of "auto-fiction” possessing an immense performative force. Although we encounter all kinds of people during the show, Capdevielle introduces us mostly to himself in a captivating manner using ingenious transvestite costumes. In women’s clothing, he can express both elegance and vulgarity, loneliness and sensitivity, attractiveness and sorrow. This performance on the vulnerability of adolescence also receives some of its forcefulness from a male choir from Montpellier’s ECUME University.
Capdevielle’s original project uses both traditional folk music from the Pyrenees and recent pop-cultural fantasies, bringing to life memories of childhood and a past that has helped to define the artist’s identity.
In French with Czech subtitles / Duration: 70 min

Jonathan Capdevielle (France)
French puppeteer, dancer, singer, and unconventional artist Jonathan Capdevielle has been creating his solo projects since 2006, gaining Europe-wide acclaim primarily in the past five years with Popydog (2011) and Spring Rolle (2012). Adishatz / Adieu is his most daring work yet. Usually a theatre actor, Capdevielle played one of the lead roles in the French-Austrian cinematic comedy Boys Like Us (2014). His most recent performance is the equally autobiographical Saga, which had its premiere in February 2015.

"In Rwanda, Samedi Détente was the main event of the week. During this radio show, broadcast every Saturday, we listened to all kinds of foreign music. We danced, we sang, we memorized the songs - even though we didn’t understand half of the lyrics. On Mondays, we held competitions for the best act on the playground. It was a true ritual,” says Dorothée Munyaneza in introducing her personal story, which must have been so very difficult to share.
6 April 1994. Dorothée Munyaneza is 12 years old when her native Rwanda is drenched in blood. She still listens to Samedi Détente, but nearly all the friends and family members for whom she used to dance are dead. The young girl has to flee for Europe. It takes this musician and the author of several songs on the soundtrack to the Oscar-nominated film Hotel Rwanda 20 years to return to her carefree childhood.
Her stage presence is electrifying; she sings, dances, and tells her story, guided by primal desire after having survived genocide. Her voice, her movements, and her face are unforgettable.

Dorothée Munyaneza (Rwanda, France)
World-renowned French singer, author, musician, performance artist and choreographer Munyaneza originally hails from Rwanda. After spending 14 years in London, she now lives with her family in Marseille. Her film music debut on the soundtrack of the Oscar-nominated 2004 feature film, Hotel Rwanda.
She has been interested in music since childhood, and studied song and social work in the UK. Her professional introduction to the international music arena came with the album "Volume5-Anatomic,” on which she appeared as a guest of the multi-genre band Afro Celt Sound System. Her first solo album Earth Songs was release in 2010 (available on iTunes since 2012).
She often performs for humanitarian goals and also teaches with the South African social circus Zip Zap. She is passionate about social integration through music and art in general, and would like to one day establish a school of music for children and youth in her native Rwanda, which she regularly visits.

"A journey into the dark corners of your soul. No drugs necessary.”
(Thomas Frank, art director of Vienna’s brut-Wien theater)
Two women brought together by a dark bond, two times long hair. Night Tripper, which usually starts after sunset, consists of several layers of meaning: a forest path, a concert performance, a ritual, and a social event. It takes the audience with it into the night time forest; you will even experience elements of voodoo.
The Prague performance features six performers, special  instruments, numerous art installations, and a 16-member Czech choir. It explores nature as an animist place of healing and destructive forces, a place of immanence and transcendence.
No language barrier / Duration: 70 min
