"Senza Una Donna", "Baila Morena", "Diamante", "Wonderful World" and "Every Time You Go Away" - these and many more of Zucchero’s hits are known and loved on both sides of the Atlantic. The renowned Italian singer, songwriter and guitarist has collaborated with some of the biggest names in pop, rock and opera - from Michael Jackson to Sting, The Rolling Stones, Luciano Pavarotti and Andrea Bocelli - and performed in many of the world's most famous concert halls, from Carnegie Hall in New York to the Royal Albert Hall in London.

"It takes an Italian to make people have so much fun... When Zucchero sang "Baila Morena" and then "Senza una donna", the applause was tremendous. It's one of those concerts that you can't miss," Germany’s Der Spiegel wrote of an earlier show.

Known throughout the world by his stage name - which means "sugar" in Italian - Adelmo Fornaciari (1955) began his musical career when he was just fifteen years old.
He left Italy in 1984 for a time to live in California, where he began working with Italian producer Corrado Rustici - a collaboration that led to a breakthrough in his musical career. The Zucchero–Rustici union produced numerous celebrated recordings, including Zucchero’s "most essential" albums, such as Blue's and Oro Incense E Birra - an English version compilation of which was released in 1990 as "Zucchero Sings His Hits in English".
That compilation featured mega hits such as "Diamante", "Overdose (D'Amore)", "Wonderful World" and his duet with Paul Young, "Senza Una Donna" ("Without A Woman") - probably his most famous song today - and conquered virtually the whole of Europe.
He followed it with the somewhat darker, though critically-acclaimed, album Miserere (1992), which included a duet with Luciano Pavarotti and climbed to the top of the charts, as did Spirito Di Vino (1995), on the back of hits like "Il Volo", "Papa Perché?" and "Per Colpa Di Chi".
Zucchero’s album Shake (2001) shot to the top of the charts immediately upon its release, thanks to the smash European track "Baila Morena". The singer’s album Zu & Co (2004) - a collection of duets with legends such as B.B. King, Miles Davis, Sting and Eric Clapton - sold millions of copies, and further cemented Zucchero’s place in musical history.
Following on his hit album Fly (2006), he released a compilation of his greatest hits to date - All The Best (2007) - which he recorded live at a concert in Italy and took on tour.
In 2010, Zucchero made another big splash with the studio album Chocabeck, which featured collaborations with Brian Wilson (formerly of The Beach Boys) and Bono of U2 - which he later performed live in over a hundred countries!
A couple of years later, he worked with some of Cuba’s best musicians on a collection of seven new tracks and six of his earlier hits - released as "La Sesión Cubana" - which Zucchero recorded in Havana.

"My music, as everybody knows, comes from blues, from soul, from gospel. This project is a trip from New Orleans to Cuba via Mexico. Latin, Cuban, Tex-Mex sounds and rhythms melt together dancing," he said at the time.

He first performed the new tracks at a concert at Cuba’s University of Art - before an audience of 80,000 people.
Zucchero’s as yet unnamed new album will be released by Universal Music in a year 2016. He has performed in the Czech Republic only twice before, most recently at the Hybernia theatre in 2011.
