The renowned dance troupe Royal Russian Ballet will perform Sergei Prokofiev‘s ballet - Romeo and Juliet. And in Prague and Brno with live accompaniment of the Czech National Symphony Orchestra.
Royal Russian Ballet is loyal to the classical Russian ballet school and dance original choreography by the most famous Russian and international artists. Great performances by their dancers are what make the excellent reputation of ensemble throughout the world.
Anatoly Kazatskij, the artistic director and producer of the group, says: "We want to do justice to the Russian ballet school and it costs something. All dancers from the Royal Russian Ballet are aware of this fact and work really hard on themselves."
Based on William Shakespeare's play, Romeo and Juliet is one of the most famous ballet pieces, composed by one of the greatest Russian composers of the early 20th century - Sergei Prokofiev. Royal Russian Ballet dances this piece with great vigour in the dramatic scenes but also with tenderness in the love scenes.
